Port City Estimating

Port City Estimating started with a simple problem: too many restoration contractors were leaving money on the table because their estimates weren't capturing the full scope of the work they'd actually performed. After more than twenty years working as an independent adjuster for major insurance carriers and working directly alongside restoration crews in the field, that gap was obvious. So five years ago, Port City Estimating opened its doors to fix it.

Expertise in estimating was taught through by hands on experience in the field, gaining understanding of the detailed work involved in each restoration process. On-site work has included demolition and muck-out (moisture mapping, setting and monitoring equipment for residential and large scale drying projects including setting large scale desiccant systems), running lay-flat ductwork and large-scale dehumidification equipment, keeping drying logs, and maintaining bid lists and preparing scope letters, commercial and residential losses from strip malls and hotels to a 200-townhome, base-housing loss and estimating work at Belle Chasse Naval Base in Louisiana. Storm and flood response has taken this work through Louisiana, Texas, Florida, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, in addition to the primary service area across the Gulf Coast.
